when heat is added to a substance,the molecule and atom vibrates faster.as atoms vibrate faster the space between atoms increase the motion and spacing of the particles determines the states of matter of the substance.the end result of increased molecular motion is that the object expands and take up more space..

substance expand on heating due to Movement in particles called atom and evaporation also cause expands in substance.

when the temperature increase,there will be more energy going into substance,makes the molecules vibrate more and more faster.as is vibrate more a substance volume increase leading substance to expand.
