Explanation:
for electricity
Air does not conduct electricity in the way that metals do. ... In the case of air and many other materials there are electrons present, but they are firmly bound to individual atoms and molecules and cannot move about the way the free electrons do in metals
so, air is not a good conductor of electricit
for heat..
Air is a bad conductor because, to conduct heat current molecules should absorb heat and transmit it to neighbor by vibrating. ... So , "If air were a good conductor of heat" then soup will not stay hot for longer because this time convection+conduction will both help to transfer heat away from soup

Air is not a good conductor of heat. We know this as it can’t transfer heat very well. Lightning strikes and has 6000 C heat produced at every point. Yet because air isn’t a good conductor we don’t feel it. Therefore air isn’t a good conductor
