different states of matter have different force of attraction between the particles because the amount of energy present in the particles of that element is different in different states this is why the interparticle spaces are even different like solids have large force of attraction and less into particular spaces than that of liquid particles and liquid particles have less into particular space and more force of attraction then the particles of gas this energy among the particles of an element could be increased by increasing the temperature and decreased by decreasing the temperature as this energy enables them to move around the higher the energy amount is the lesser the interparticle force would be and the lesser interparticle space would be.
