Explain why Burning of coal is a combination reaction.

A combustion reaction is when a chemical reacts with oxygen and releases energy. Fuels are burnt to produce energy when these fuels burn, the atoms in the fuels combine with oxygen from the air to make new molecules, that is the reason why the burning of coal is a non-reversible chemical change.
