1.Only limited amount of charge can be deposited on the plates of a capacitor during the charging process, once the charge is utilized the capacitor becomes useless until it gets recharged.

2.When a charged capacitor is connected to a lead, the potential difference across the ends of the capacitor does not remain constant for a long time. As a result, the capacitor discharges quickly.

3.The capacitor is very expensive compared to a battery which is far more efficient for domestic use.
