Explain why climbing in a greasy pole is very different??

Grease reduces friction between surfaces in contact. While climbing up the pole you use frictional force to hold yourself on the pole. Now, as the friction is reduced, you may not be able to hold yourself on the pole anymore. Hence, it is difficult to climb on a greasy pole.
