Explain why,diffusion occurs more quickly in a gas than in a liquid.

becoz the intermolecular space is more in gas as compared to liquid

Gas has more intermolecular space as compared to liquid.Thus, gas moves freely in all direction and the rate of diffusion is the fastest as compared to solid and liquid.
