South-eastern coastal plain region of the United States of America is suitable for rice and sugarcane cultivation.

Explanation:

  • The South-East coastal plain extends from the River James in Virginia, south to Jacksonville , Florida, to the west via the south central to Alabama and Georgia, to the eastern 1/2 of Mississippi, and then north into the extreme western Kentucky and Tennessee
  • The place has ample fertile soil and also because of the tropical warm climates of  Louisiana and Florida Majority of the sugarcane is produced in organic soils along the south-eastern and southern shore where the cultivating season is long and winters are usually warm
  • More than  20 varieties of rice are grown/ commercially produced, majorly  in the states of Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana,  California, and Missouri. In the US, sugarcane is commercially grown in Louisiana, Florida, Texas and Hawaii
