Hey friend..
Here is your answer..

Ethanol fermentation is the anaerobic process carried out by yeasts in which simple sugars are converted to ethanol and carbon dioxide.

Fermentation makes it possible for cells to continue generating ATP through glycolysis. Lactic acid is a byproduct of fermentation. The bacteria carry out lactic acid fermentation in the absence of oxygen.

This is because Fermentation converts sugar into Ethanol and Carbon Dioxide. There is necessary of Anaerobic respiration because many substances have Starch and with the help of Anaerobic respiration starch can be made simpler to sugar then yeast reacts with sugar to form Ethanol.
