particles of colloids range from 1 to 100nm. It is very small that it can't be seen with naked eyes.even it is smaller than the hole of the filter paper,thus it can't be separated by filter paper but can be separated by ultra filtration

rain water stored in tank contains sand grains , unfiltrable clay particles , calcium carbonate, salt , pieces of paper and mud , and some air bubbles .select from amongst these one example each of solvent solute colloid and suspension

solvent is rain water,solute is salt as the mixture of rain water & salt is homogenous & others are considered as heterogenous,iguess calcium carbonate is colloide & pieces of paper,mud in water z suspension.

Because the size of collidals particle are very strong(10Å TO 10000Å) so particle pass out through filter paper so we dont use filter instead this we use animal memberane.
