Fossil fuels require millions of years to form from the dead vegetation and animal that get buried deep inside the earth. They require high temperature and pressure for their formation, which cannot be provided in the laboratory.

For our future,

we are using renewable sources of energy for e.g.

1) Solar energy

2) hydroelectric power plants

3) Geothermal energy

Answer :

Fossil fuels are present on the earth surface in a limited quantity and the new mineral growth formed from dead remains of animals and plant require millions and millions of years to form under high temperature and pressure conditions . Such extreme conditions cannot be produced in the laboratory. Thus, due to the limited quantity and time to renew it, we keep fossil fuel into the category of exhaustible natural resources
