Explain why friction is a necessary evil?

Friction is necessary to walk,sit,stand,eat,travel and many things. Many things occur due to friction if there's no friction then there's no life.so it's very much necessary in our life.

But it is also an evil
-- accidents happen
--friction consumes lot of energy
--fuels too waste when there's much friction exerted in the vehicles and roads etc..
