Glass is a amorphous solid. But after long time and with high temperature, it starts getting converted into crystalline form. Hence, some glass objects from ancient civilisations are found to become milky in appearance because of some crystallisation.

"Glass is an "amorphous solid" and is also referred to as super cooled liquid.
Therefore, it tends to flow like liquids.
The lower surfaces of the glass panes in old buildings look milky and it is thicker because glass flew down under the influence of gravity over the years.
When the temperature too high, it turns into a crystalline shape. It happens because there is a huge amount of energy, so there must be a higher energy transition state.
So, the glass slowly flows down and some glass objects from ancient civilizations appear milky."
