Explain why inside a hollow spherical conductor electric field is always zero but potential remain constant

Electric field exerts force on charges... According to Gauss law ,there is no electric field inside a hollow conducting sphere,so moving a charge from the surface to the center takes no work.Therefore the potential of the surface and the center must be zero.
