explain why it is difficult for a fireman to hold a hose which effect large amount of water at high velocity

as the water comes ot of the hose with a great speed...according to laws of forcs every action has an equal and opposite reaction...the water coming out with huge force will exert an equally opposite force on the man holding it which may cause the fireman to flip back

it is difficult for a fireman to hold a hose throwing water at high velocity because the water coming out exert a great pressure backward on fireman so the fireman has to hold it tightly . As the Newton's third law every action has an equal and opposite reaction
