Momentum (p) = mv From the question, it is clear that velocity of both the balls is same. But mass of the cricket ball is more than that of tennis ball, and hance cricket ball has more momentum. Therefore it is easier to stop a tennis ball than a cricket ball moving with the same speed.

The reason is that mass of the cricket ball is more than the of the tennis ball thus Momentum is more in case of the cricket ball due to the larger mass as compared to the tennis ball so less force has to be applied in the case of the tennis ball to stop
