Explain why Ladakh is called a cold desert while Sahara is called a hot desert?

Ladakh lies in Jammu and Kashmir which is often cold all the time . it has less rainfall for about 0 to 20 . But sahara desert's some part is lies in the India's hot part which is often hot in day but too cold at night
