Plate boundaries are the margins where two or more plates meet or make an impression on each other. There are several plate boundaries in the world. The main types plate boundaries are namely

1. Convergent or destructive plate boundaries

2. Divergent or constructive plate boundaries

3. Transformation faults.

The most numbers of earthquakes and volcanoes occur at convergent and destructive plate boundaries. The transform faults have a few not so severe quakes than its other two counterparts.

The main reason behind the quakes and volcanic eruptions are the movement of plates due to the convection forces, resulting to the deformation of rocks and the structure formed due to the deformation like folds, faults, fractures, joints etc.

I am assuming that you guys know about above mentioned structures and their classifications. If you have any queries about the topic than comment below.
