Answer: ortho-nitro phenol is more acidic then ortho methyl phenol

Explanation: NO2- group on phenol shows electron withdrawing effect so, it withdraws the electron from the phenol as a result the lone pairs present on the oxygen atom of OH- group on phenol get inside the cyclic chain and show resonance due to this oxygen atom gets slight -ve charge as a result the H+ is released more rapidly so it is more acidic........

Now in methyl phenol the methyl group shows electron donating effect so it increases the electron density inside the benzene ring and there will be no release of H+ ion from OH-

group present on phenol
