The power sharing is desirable for two reasons.
Prudential reasons- It means that if we think with proper reasoning then we will find that
1. Power sharing is good because
(A) it addresses the possibility of conflicts well and is helpful in reducing the chances of any social conflict.
(B) It also ensures stability of political order as people's will and opinions are duly addressed.
(C) Also if we think prudentially we will find that making the majority dominate is not a good option as it will be a threat to unity of the nation.
So, power sharing is fruitfull in accomodating the diversity of a country to provide a stable and less conflict-prone social and political system.
Example- Belgium shared power at different levels to reduce conflict and keep the nation united.

2. Moral Reasons- It means that in a democracy there should be an automated maintenance of democratic principles.
The spirit of democracy lies in sharing powers with
(A) People because they are governed and they are affected by the exercise of powers.
(B) People must be consulted on the issue of governance or how they are to be governed.
(C)The basic moral lies in the legitimacy of the government which means- participation of people of the nation.
(D) People should feel that they are also responsible for the election of a good or bad government-they have the right to chose government.

In short we can say that Prudential reasons Would provide better results while Moral reasons stress on the basic necessities of power sharing in a democracy.
