Because in constant pressure the given heat energy is used for keeping volume as constant as well as it does some external work also

But in constant volume the heat energy is used to do the work thats it

Hope it helps uh

Answer:

In Cv heat  supplied  is used only to increase  the internal energy .But in Cp , the heat supplied is used to increase Internal  energy and also doing external work during expansion. Since the rise in temperature is same in both cases , the increase in internal energy remains the same .Hence Cp is greater than Cv.
