the cities of Mumbai and Chennai are also able to see the moon sun exactly overhead twice a year but delhi never see it exactly overhead bcoz mumbai and chennai lie near equator and the sun rays fall directly there whereas delhi is towrds poles .
Mumbai and chennai are also near to tropics. Any place within the tropics will see the sun overhead at noon twice each year. The tropics themselves will see it only once each year. Outside the tropics, the sun will never be directly overhead.
