because they are opaque and they are not lustrous matter

☆Basically if we deeply understand then....

☆we come to know that the Planets are the heavenly bodies which are always known as the collection of the point sources of the light....thus when there is refraction of the light from one point of the planet ...

☆then the other millions points nullify that effect Thus there is a same intensity of light .....

☆But if we talk briefly about the stars then we know that the stars are only the point sources of light that are very much far from the earth ...

☆thus due to the rarer and the denser refractive layers of atmosphere there is change in intensity of light from the stars ...thus creating a twinkling effect........

☆Thus stars twinkle but not the Planets .....
