the value of 'g' is O at the centre of the earth because the formula for acceleration due to gravity is not applicable as one's go inside the surface of the earth.

Answer:

Here's your answer...

Hope it helps you....

Explanation:

  1. The acceleration due to gravity is given as, g = GM/R^2.
  2. As, g is the combined result of change in R and M, the value of g decreases as we go deep inside the earth.
  3. At the centre of the earth, the mass under consideration is zero. i.e. M=0 , g=0
  4. Hence, acceleration due to gravity at the centre of the earth is zero.
