the value of g is 0 at centre coz no gravitational force is applied at the center of the earth

At the center the distance is zero, hence gravity is zero. The value of 'g' is 9.8.'g' is acceleration due to gravity.At the center of the earth it will turn zero because there will be no acceleration at the center of the earth.
