⚫WHY UNITED NATIONS BUILD


After the two world was were fought at the start of the twentieth century.Life and property were destroyed on a large scale in these wars.As a result, the League of Nations was established after the first world war and the United Nation was established after the Second World war in the vision of to establish peace all over the world.

The league of Nations did not succeed at all.But after the use of the nuclear weapons in the second world war,all the world realized that this type of destructive wars should be stopped and that is the responsibility of all the nations.So, the United Nations was established after the Second World war to establish peace and to understand each other among all nations.


⚫ THE OBJECTIVE OF THE UNITED NATIONS

The United Nations is the world's largest international organizations.In the beginning,there were only 50 countries were the members of the United Nations but today this number has gone up to 193.All these members nations used to come together on the platform of the United Nations to discuss on an important issues. The United Nations takes all necessary measures to maintain the international peace.
Along with these, the United Nations also thought to improving the economic growth of a nation at the international level.

Some objectives are as follows :


◾ To establish friendly relations among Nations.

◾ To enhance international security by solving the problem and disputes.

◾ To safeguard and give human rights and freedoms .


⚫ STRUCTURE OF UNITED NATIONS


The United Nations has six main structure :

1.) GENERAL ASSEMBLY : All the member countries are members of the General Assembly. The position and status of the countries are same,there are no any discriminate against the big nation,samll nation,rich or poor nations here all are same.Every year all the members of the General Assembly meet in the session from September to December.During this session they used to discuss important issues like environment and disarmament etc.


2.) SECURITY COUNCIL : There are 15 members in the Security council in which five nation are the permanent members and rest ten are the non permanent members. The non permanent members are chosen after every two years by the general Assembly.Countries like America , France,England,China,Russia are the permanent members.For any decisions to be taken all five permanent members and at least four non permanent members favor is necessary.


3.) ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL

The main objective of this organization is to coordinate the economic and social policies of the United Nations.The council has 54 members.They are selected by the General Assembly.Here decision are taken by majority vote.

4.) SECRETARIAT : The Secretariat has the responsibility of carrying out the administrative tasks of the United Nations. The chief of the Secretariat is the Secretary General.He is selected by the General Assembly and the Security Council.


5.) INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE
: International Court of Justice means the judicial branch of the United Nations. The International Court of Justice is situated at The Hague in the Netherlands.There are 15 judges in the International Court of Justice.All the Nations can put their disputes.


6.) THE TRUSTEESHIP COUNCIL : After the Second World war, the terrorists are increased were the nation was not developed.Then the United Nations supposed to help those types of Nations which are not developed and for that The trusteeship Council established under the United Nations.


The main objectives of the United Nations is to establish the international peace and to achieve that they are doing their all possible efforts.We have to coordinate with them we have to Change our thoughts or behavior towards others Nations,these is the only way to establish a peace at the international level.
