The value of g REDUCES as we go deep inside the earth because the respective spherical mass of earth decreases, that is, the radius of earth decreases, which results in the decrease of mass of earth, as the density of the earth remains same throughout.

As we go deep inside the earth the value of R decreases.So according to the formula value of 'g' should increase .But it is not so because as we go inside the earth towards its centre the part of earth (M) responsible for gravitational force also decrease that is the value of M also decreases.
