When we are in bright sunlight our ciliary muscles contract to allow less light to enter the eye.
Thats why we cannot see our surroundings clearly when we entered the dark cinemahall. However soon our cilliary muscles expand again and our vision improves after some time.

Because when we are in more light then our pupil does not expanded more and so it wants less light but not too less but if we suddenly go to darkness then our pupil wants that light as it want in light but after sometime it expand and we see in darkness better..
