Question

explain with an activity that carbon dioxide and water are necessary for photosynthesis

Answer:

1 .  take two blotted plant or money plant of same size .

2. place one plant in sealed container(air tight) and inside it place potassium hydroxide solution

 KOH solution would capture carbondioxide

3. place the second plant in open place

4. after 3-7 days plug a leaf from both and do the starch test

starch test could be done by placing leaf in alcohol solution and allow it to boil it in water bath then dropping iodine solution to it

you would find that the presence of starch in the plant that is placed in open .

hence carbon dioxide is needed for photosynthesis.

similarly you can explain a activity to demonstrate an activity showing water is necessary for photosynthesis .

Answer:

PLEASE MARK AS BRAINIEST

Explanation:

《MATERIAL REQUIRED》 - MONEY PLANT, CONICAL FLASK WITH A SPLIT CORK , SODA LIME , IODINE SOLUTION, DROPPER AND ALCOHOL.

《OBSERVATION》- AFTER TESTING FOR STARCH , THE LEAVES OF PLANT PLACED IN THE CORNICAL FLASK DOES NOT TURN BLUE-BLACK , WHEREAS THE LEAVES OF PLANT IN OPEN AIR TIRNS BLUE-BLACK.

《PROCEDURE》- TAKE 2 MONEY PLANT . PLACE 1 PLANT IN SEALED CONTAINER (AIR TIGHT) AND INSIDE IT PLACE SODA LIME AND DON'T GIVE IT WATER . SODA LIME WOULD CAPTURE CARBOM DIOXIDE. PLACE THE OTHER PLANT IN OPEN AIR AND GIVE IT WATER . AFTER 6-7 DAYS PLUG A LEAF FROM BOTH PLANTS AND DO THE STARCH TEST .

YOU CAN DO THE STARCH TEST BY PLACING LEAF IN ALCOHOL SOLUTION AND ALLOW IT TO BOIL IT IN WATER THEN DROP IODINE SOLUTION TO IT.

YOU CAN SEE THET THE LEAF OF THE PLANT IN SEALED CONTAINER HAVE NOT TURNED BLUE-BLACK

BUT THE LEAF OF THE PLANT IN OPEN AIR HAVE TURNED BLUE-BLACK.

HENCE, WATER AND CARBON DIOXIDE ARE NEEDED FOR PHOTOSYNTHESIS.
