Explain with example how irrational numbers differ from rational numbers?

Rational numbers are the numbers which can be written in p\q form where q is not equal to 0 whereas irrational numbers are written in root form
Rational numbers example = 2/6
irrational numbers = _/6

Numers which can be written in the form of p/q where p, q are integers and q not equals to zero is called rational numbers.
Example: 2, -3/5, 2.63, 56.23333....
Numbers which are not rational are called irrational.
