the conditions responsible for uneven railway distribution of railway networks in india are
● different economic growth and conditions of the different states. ex - maharashtra will have a better rail road system than chattisgadh.
●different geographical factors: plains and moderately hilly areas maybe easier to reach but high hilly areas are harder to build traks on because of this a state like madhya pradesh would have a better rail system rather than assam.

The uneven distribution pattern of the railway network in India is due to the following reasons:
1. In our country due to its diverse topography...and geographical conditions Railways can't be fixed up everywhere..
2. in north eastern part of our country due to the floody terrains railways can't function there..
3. in Northern part of our country due to high hills and mountains there is undulating geographical conditions which leads to roadways having an edge over railways..
Thank you!

(a) The northern plains with their vast level land, high population density and rich agricultural resources provided the most favorable condition for their growth.
(b) In the hilly terrains of the peninsular region, railway tracks are laid through low hills, gaps or tunnels.
(c) The Himalayan mountainous regions too are unfavorable for the construction of railway lines due to high relief, sparse population and lack ofeconomic opportunities.
