This sentence "where are your money and jewels?" is from the short story, 'The diary of Anne Frank'.

  • Anne Frank wrote a diary in her early days. She was born in Netherlands into a Jewish family at the time when Hitler was enforcing anti- Jewish laws. The diary is written by her about her various experiences and the struggles that her family went through at the time when Jews weren't treated very well.

  • Anne and her family went into hiding because of all the anti- Jew crimes that were taking place. She hid her diary safely in her father's briefcase. But the hideout was soon discovered by the Nazi army and when they found Anne's family, they demanded for money and jewels and then later arrested them and took them to the death camps. The sentence "where are your money and jewels?" was said at that time.
