Isotopes:- isotopes are the different element having same atomic number but different mass number.

Isobars:- isobars are the same element having different atomic number but same mass number. It is also equal to the number of electrons for a neutral atom.

example:- atomic number of sodium 11.

Answer:

___________________________________________

Mass number is always an integer.

The atomic mass reported on a periodic table is the weighted average of all the naturally occuring isotopes.

Being an average it would be most unlikely to be a whole number.

The mass of an individual atom in atomic mass units is the mass relative to carbon-12.
