If we connect bulb to the metal wire and connect wire's end through the battery then,bulb will glow which shows that metal is good conductor of heat and electricity.Now take a wooden scale instead of metal wire.And if we connect bulb through a wooden scale ,then bulb will not glow.

Aim : To observe metal are good conductor of heat.

Method : Pour hot water in a beaker. Take sticks of wood,metal, plastic and a glass. Dipp all the sticks in the hot water and record the observation.

Observation : The metal stick get hot faster than other sticks because metal have free moving electrons. These electrons can move easily from one end to the other carrying heat along with them. That is the reason that metal are good conductor of heat.
