Explain with the help of an example how matter change from one state to another

when we take ice [solid] when we heat it it will be changed into water [ liquid] when we still continue it is changed into vapor [ gas ]  this process is called evaporation

                                     and

if you reverse the process  that is when vapor it is changed into water when water is cooled it is changed into ice this process is called condensation
