The electric generator works on the principle of electrical induction of current. It is also known as Fleming's right-hand rule. The generator has two magnetic poles. One is North and another is south pole. An electric conductor is placed between the two poles and the conductor is connected with a circuit. Then the conductor is moved by an external force , some amount of current get induced in the conductor. Thus , this is principle working force of generator.
