Communication is simply the process of transferring information from one person to the other.

There are many types of communications for e.g verbal communication (face to face, telephone, etc), non verbal communication (body language, facial expressions, gestures), written communication (letters, email) and visualizations (logo, presentations, maps, graphs).

The components of communication include:

1. Context : sender communicates effectively by taking into account all aspects of context.

2. Sender : It is the person who sends the message for e.g. speaker, writer. The sender uses graphs, charts, emoticons etc to convey his message effectively.

3. Message : It is known as the information exchanged by the sender and receiver.

4. Medium : It is the channel through which the information is exchanged. The mediums include message, electronic, print and sound.

5. Receiver: The person who decodes the information.

6. Feedback: Response or reaction of the receiver, to a message, is called ‘feedback’.
