FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS
The 6 fundamental rights recognised by the constitution are :-
- right to equality
- right to freedom
- right against exploitation
- right to freedom of religion
- cultural and educational rights
- right to constitutional remedies
RIGHT TO EQUALITY
- Right to equality is the foundation of any democracy. It means that no person is above the law.The govt. shall not discriminate against any citizen on around only of religion,race,caste,sex or place of birth.
- every citizen shall have access to public places like shops,restaurents, hotels cinema halls.
RIGHT TO EDUCATION
- UNDER ARTICLE -A, INDIA JOINED A GROUP OF FEW COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD TO MAKE EDUCATION A FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS OF EVERY CHILD. IT CAME INTO FORCE ON APRIL 2010
- THE ARTICLE 21-A SAYS THAT STATE SHALL PROVIDE FREE AND COMPULSARY EDUCATION TO ALL CHILDREN OF THE AGE OF 6 TO 14 YEARS.
NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHT COMMISSION
it is an Independant commission established in 1993. the commission is appointed by the president. the commission focuses on helping the victims to secure their human rights. these include all the rights granted to the citizens by the constitution
