In the given question this is a cash sales so it must be put in cashbook !

the correct entry of the given transaction will be :-

cash A/C Dr 1700

to sales A/C 1700

and wrong entry :-

Meena A/c. Dr. 1700

to sales A/c. 1700

And , rectification entry will be :-

Cash A/c Dr. 1700

to Meena A/c 1700

it is because we should debit cash instead of Meena .
