Answer:

Air cooling is a method of dissipating heat. It works by expanding the surface area or increasing the flow of air over the object to be cooled, or both.

Air cooler in science fair:

Explanation:

  • Air cooling is a device that cools the air using the evaporation of water. It is also called 'Desert Cooler'.
  • The mechanism of this refrigerant differs from that of commonly used air conditioning devices, which are based on the use of vapor-compression or adsorption refrigeration cycles.
  • The enthalpy of vaporization of water is very high and the vapor coolant makes good use of it. When water (liquid) is converted into vapour, it absorbs heat from the surrounding dry air, thereby cooling the air.
  • This process requires much less energy than refrigeration. Apart from cooling it also increases the amount of humidity in the air which gives extra comfort in very dry areas.
