Conduction:- The process by which heat is transferred through the medium of solid bodies. For example: Heat is transferred from a frypan to the lid that is used to cover it. This is through conduction, as the heat from frypan reaches the lid.
Convection:- The process by which heat is transferred from one body to the other through liquids. For example: Heat is transferred from the bottom layer of water to the upper layers when it is kept for boiling; through convection.
Radiation:- The process by which heat is transferred through gases. For example: Heat from the sun reaches to us through radiation process only; which is possible only because of the gases.
