29 = 13 + 11 + 5

Given :

The number 29

To find :

To express the given number as the sum of three odd prime numbers

Solution :

29 = 13 + 11 + 5

  • Odd numbers are those which are not divisible by 2

  • Prime numbers are those which has only two factors, one is 1 and the other is the number itself.

  • Odd prime numbers are those which are both indivisible by 2 and have only two factors.

  • The number 13 is indivisible by 2 , hence it is odd and it has factors 1 and 13 ( two factors ). Hence it is an odd prime number.

  • The number 11 is indivisible by 2 , hence it is odd and it has factors 1 and 11 ( two factors ). Hence it is an odd prime number.

  • The number 5 is indivisible by 2 , hence it is odd and it has factors 1 and 5 ( two factors ). Hence it is an odd prime number .

Hence, 29 = 13 + 11 + 5
