Given :   (A) 36 (B) 42 (C) 84 (D) 98

To find : Express as the sum of three odd primes

Solution:

Sum of three odd number is always odd

hence sum of three odd primes can not be

36 , 42 , 84  or 98

if Question is sum of 3 prime numbers

then 2 is only even prime

hence one prime number has to be  2

so

36  = 2  +  11 + 23     or   2 + 5 + 29    or 2  +  3  + 31

42 = 2  + 17 + 23     or 2 + 11  + 29    or 2 + 3 + 37

84 = 2  + 29 + 53    or 2 + 23 + 59   or  2 + 11 + 71  or 2 + 3 + 79

98  = 2 + 43 + 53   or 2 + 37 + 59  or 2 + 29 + 67  or 2 + 23 + 73  or 2 + 17 + 79   or 2 + 13 + 83     or  2 + 7 + 89
