lete x=0.9999_____1eqn.
on multiplying 10 x = 9.99999________2 eqn.
on subtracting 1eqn.from 2eqn.
10x-9x=9.9999 - 0.9999
x=9
on multiplying 10 x = 9.99999________2 eqn.

10x-9x=9.9999 - 0.9999

So, x = 0.9....... ------------------(1)
10x = 0.999999.......× 10 -----------(2)
10x - x = 9.9999..... - 0.9999...
9x = 9
x = 9/9 or 1
Suprise we get is that when 0.999999.... is converted into p/q form then we get 1 or 9/9 that has no decimal.
