Express the following information in mathematical form using two variables :- Two years hence, father's age will be twice the son's age then. ​

hi mate!!!

Solution:

let the father's present age be x years and his son's present age be y years.

now,

after two years,

father would be x+2 years and

son would be y+2 years

according to the condition,

x+2= 2(y+2)

x+2=2y+4

x-2y= 4-2

x-2y=2..........required linear equation

Let present age of father be x yrs

and present age of his son 's be y yrs

2 years hence,

age of father =x+2

age of his son's =y+2

x+2 = 2(y+2)

x+2 = 2y+ 4

x-2y =4-2

x-2y =2
