Present age of father = x years,
present age of son = y years.
Five years ago,
Age of father was = (x-5) years
age of son was = (y-5) years
Now, according to the question,
⇒ (x−5) = 7(y - 5) + 2
⇒ x - 5 = 7y - 35 + 2
⇒ x − 7y − 5 + 35 − 2 = 0
⇒ x − 7y + 28= 0
present age of son = y years.
