Given x = 3y,
The given equation can be written as
x - 3y + 0 = 0 ... (1)
or 1 x + (-3 y,) + 0 = 0, which is of the form ax + by + c = 0
where a = 1, b = -3, c = 0
Now put y = 0 in equation(1)
x - 3(0) + 0 = 0
⇒ x = 0
now put y = 1
x - 3(1) + 0 = 0
⇒ x = 3

GIVEN :- A linear equation i.e. x = - 6
TO WRITE :- In standard form.
ANSWER :-
Standard form of linear equation is that when it mention in the form of
ax + by + c = 0
Where x and y are variable having a and b as coefficient.
'c' as constant.
x = -6
=> x + 6 = 0
Here 6 is the constant , x is variable while y is missing so it can be written as
1x + 0y + 6 = 0
Here,
a = 1
b = 0
c = 6
