Hii

Extraction of aluminium is done by Bayer's process
In this process,
First bauxite ore i.e Al2O3.2H2O is heated with NaOH
Al2O3.2H2O+2NaOH=>2NaAlO2+3H2O

Then sodium aluminate found in first reaction i.e NaAlO2 is reacted with water
NaAlO2+2H2O=>NaOH+Al(OH)3

Then Al(OH)3 that is aluminium hydroxide is heated
2Al(OH)3=>Al2O3+3H2O
Here we get alumina (Al2O3)

Now this alumina is electrolysed by Hall and Heroults process
By this process we get 99.8% pure aluminium

To get 100%pure aluminium Haber's process is used

But generally aluminium is not purified to this extent because pure aluminium is highly reactive and they react with atmospheric oxygen at room temperature to form tough and impervious layer of aluminium oxide.

Hope it helped u.

Anonymous: hmmm ....yes
aryan014: I thought u will need the explanation of Hall and Heroult's and Haber's process also
Anonymous: what is hall and herault process
aryan014: aaa actually its a electrolytic reduction of Al2O3 to Al
aryan014: are u in Icse?
Anonymous: no cbse
aryan014: okkk
aryan014: in icse book it is explained perfectly
Anonymous: i will definitely prefer
aryan014: hmm

Aluminium ore is called bauxite . the bauxite is purified to yield a white powder , aluminium oxide, from which aluminium can be extracted. The extraction is done by electrolysis. But first the aluminium oxide must be made molten so that electricity can pass through it .

HOPE MY ANSWER WILL HELP U.
