Metals at the bottom of the activity series are often found in free state. Their reactivity with other atoms is very low. The oxides of these metals can be reduced by heart alone and sometimes by displacement from their aqueous solutions.
1)displacement from aqueous solution :
Example :Ag2S+ 4CN gives rise to 2{Ag(CN)2}^- +S^2-
2{Ag(CN)2}^- +Zn gives rise to {Zn(CN)4}^2- +2Ag

2{Ag(CN)2}^- +Zn gives rise to {Zn(CN)4}^2- +2Ag

Example :Ag_{2}S+ 4CN gives rise to 2{Ag(CN)_{2}}^- +S^2-
2{Ag(CN)_{2}}^- +Zn gives rise to {Zn(CN)_{4}}^2- +2Ag
