AB = 8 cm, AD = 6 cm and altitude AE = 4 cm. Find the
altitude corresponding to side AD​

ADE is a right angled triangle

so ,

AD^2 = AE ^2 + DE ^2

=> DE = √AD^2 - AE^2

DE =√6^2 -4^2

DE = √20

DE = 2√5

so DE is 2√5 cm
